Welcome Back!

We hope everyone had a lovely, relaxing break. We can't believe that it is Term 4 already! 10 more weeks of Pre-primary. When we look back to Term 1, it is amazing to see how much each student has changed, grown and progressed. We are super proud of all of them! Keep up the great work Room 5!

This term is a very busy one, with dancing, swimming, reports and end of year concert. So please ensure your child is getting plenty of sleep each night.

Kindy/Pre-primary Tabloid Afternoon

The K/PP tabloids was a wonderful event, held on Wednesday, Week 1 of Term 4. It was meant to take place in Term 3, but was postponed due to bad weather. Congratulations to all the students who did so well participating in the events. Thank you to the Year 6 students and staff who helped out on the day. Thank you also to the parents who came to spectate. It means a lot to the children when they have people cheering them on. Congratulations to Red faction, who earned the most points and were awarded the trophy.

School Uniform

Just a reminder that at Wattle Grove, children always need to wear a green school hat for outside play or outdoor activities. We have also noticed that the standard of the school uniform is slipping.

Girls need to wear their hair tied up, with green or gold hair accessories. No nail polish or jewelry is permitted.

School shoes and socks need to be black or white.

Students need to wear a gold Wattle Grove t-shirt and green bottoms.

The uniform shop is open every Thursday and Friday, and you can also order online via the school app, if you need to purchase more items.

Thank you for your support.

Dancing Lessons

Room 5 will do dancing lessons every week, on a Thursday (except Week 4). This is part of our Health and Physical Education program. Also, the students will perform some of the dances they learn at the end of year concert.

Congratulations to the students from Room 5. You are all very enthusiastic during dance lessons and all try your best. Keep it up!

Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons will take place over 2 weeks, towards the end of the term. A note will come home in the next few weeks, providing information to parents about sessions times, cost, location and transportation.

There will also be a form to complete regarding your child's swimming ability and any medical information that may be relevant.

School Development Days

There will be not school on Friday 27th November, as this is a School Development Day.

School for 2020 finishes on Thursday 17th December, so there is also no school on Friday 18th December.

Room 5's Busy Bees

 Our Work

Here are some photos of the work we have been busy doing this term. We have been learning how to write a narrative. We have also been learning all the ways to make 10. We also made our bird houses from recycled materials.

Sports Carnival

On Friday 4th September, we had our whole school Sports Carnival. The Pre-primaries did their running races. Congratulations to all the Pre-primaries who ran so well. A big congratulations to Purple Faction who won the trophy on the day.

Book Week Parade

On Thursday 27th August we had our Book Week Parade. Well done to all the children who dressed up for the event. You all looked amazing! Room 5 also had their Room 20 buddies come and visit and we spent time reading all our favourite books together.

Parent Interviews

This Tuesday, 22nd September school will finish at

Please make sure you are on time for your interview, as we have to fit lots in to one day. Also, interviews are strictly 10 minutes. We look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child's progress.
