Goodbye 2018

Dear Parents...

It was a great pleasure to have your little ones in my classroom this year. We learned so many things. Your children are proud because they know how to read and write.

This year is over, so now I return your children to you, the same children that you entrusted to my care at the beginning of the year. I return them with a few more kilos, a few centimetres taller, and months wiser, more responsible, and more mature than back then.

Even though they would have grown without my help, it has been a pleasure and a privilege to see their personalities grow day by day and see how they have developed in their learning.

We have laughed, played, studied, learned and enriched our lives during the year. Take care of your children, for they are so precious.

Remember that I will always have great interest in your children and their destinies, wherever they may go, whatever they do and whoever they become.

Sincerely,

Miss Baines

Class of 2018

Here are the pictures of Room 5 in their graduation hat. Well done to the class of 2018.

STEM Challenge

This term, as part of our STEM program, the students learnt all about slopes and how they make objects move. The students worked in groups to create a marble race. Below are some photos of the making process.

Melbourne Cup

For Melbourne Cup, we celebrated by making our own hats during Technology and Enterprise. We then did a hat parade to show off our work.

Dance Party

Our class dance party will be held on Tuesday 11th December from 11.50am until 12.50pm. If you have not returned your child's permission slip with their $2.50 to cover the cost of the bus, please do so as soon as possible. You also need to nominate how many tickets you need for the day, and this will be provided to you. The dance parties will be held at Camp Wattle Grove, which is located on Kelvin Road. Students are allowed to wear party clothes to school and for the whole day. We look forward to seeing all the parents and having you join in on some of the dances.

Class Party

Room 5's class party will be held on Wednesday 12th December. Each child needs to bring a plate of food to share with the class. There is a list on the door of the classroom, near the notice board. Please write your child's name and the food they will be bringing on the list. If you are providing hot food, this will need to be at school by 12.15pm. Please let us know if there are any foods your child can not eat. Students will not need to bring lunch on this day. The party is for students only. Thank you for your support.

Home Readers and Library Books

Please ensure that all home readers and Library books are returned to school as soon as possible as these need to be accounted for and ready to use in 2019. Thank you.

Last Day and Reports

School finishes this year on Thursday 13th December at 3.05pm. Student reports and Work Sample Books will be sent home on Wednesday, 12th December.
